David Cowheard is one of the founding members of Cowheard, Singer & Company. Before the establishment of CS&Co, David was the co-founding partner of another Miami based forensic accounting firm (1999-2011). He also served as a Principal (RGL Gallagher 1997-1999) and Manager (Campos & Stratis 1992-1996) of two global financial forensics firms.
David has over twenty years of experience providing forensic accounting, litigation support, and expert witness testimony in the areas of insurance claims, economic damages, financial investigations, and other intricate litigation matters. David is a renowned and highly respected practitioner in litigation support services; he has developed a comprehensive domestic and international practice through successful leadership of projects throughout the Americas and the Caribbean.
David has provided expert witness testimony in a variety of cases, and has been qualified as an expert in circuit courts throughout Florida and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, Miami Division.
David also provides expert support at mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and has served as an umpire and appraiser in numerous commercial insurance claim disputes.
He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation. David is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Forensic Accountant, and is Certified in Financial Forensics.
David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and American College of Forensic Examiners. Additionally, he serves as the Treasurer of the Windstorm Insurance Network.
